Can I upgrade a project in Version 11 to Version 14

We only have a license for TIA Portal Version 14 and we just got a small project that is an existing machine with a Simatic S7-300 CPU 314 which is Version 11.  Is it possible for me to upgrade this to version 14?  If so, how?

You have to convert the project to V13 SP1 first.  V14 can't open anything earlier than that.

So to work with earlier versions I will also need a license for version 13?  That stinks

From what our vendor told us, the license for v14 will activate v13 as well. You do have to install the software, though.

I'm running v11-14 on a V14 license.  You should be able to download and install V13 SP1 from the siemens website.

Cool, glad to hear that.  I'm currently waiting for some manual approval deal from Siemens website to be able to download them.  Says it could take several days...strange.
