PID Auto tuning in FX3U

Dear All.

I am new to mitsubishi PLC. I need to use 6 PID loops in one program. I am using FX3U with 4AD and 4DA.

can I use 6 PID loops in one program?

can I use PID without Autotunning?

What will be the effect if I use PID with or without autotune?

I am going to control speed of a motor through VSD to control speed of the fan and hence the temperature.

temperature is in 4-20mA and MV will also be in 4-20mA.

4 are temperature control loops, 1 pressure and 1 level control loop .

please tell me what should we do either manual setting is fine or Autotunning is better?

if you don't/can't use autotune, you will have to set the convenient parameters manually.

autotune seems not so often implemented in traditional PLC. Depending on the PID loops, you have to consider to control loops from a separate device and make communication between this controller and the PLC. For light loops, a PLC should be enough.

in my project I need to use PID loop as there is no any other controller installed.

If autotune is not so important then it means that main task is to properly set the P,I and D values manually to get the best result?

If I don't use Autotune, may I control the PV in the range of +- 1% of the SV?

 Whether you could not use the  built-in inverter PID and thus reduce the number of PID regulators used in the PLC?

customer wants me to use PID in PLC not the VFD. so that's why I need to design the PID in PLC
