OMRON Sysmac CPMA

Hi,newbie to OMRRON and trying to understand its hardware terminals ie COM, input and ouput. Cant seem to workout how the basic wiring is done in hardware. Any pointers/material much apperciated.

This is a very broad question. Are you having trouble wiring the COM port, the Inputs or the Outputs?

Is this a CPM1A or CPM2A?

The programming manual is the same for both:

You are looking for the Operation Manual of the unit. This will show you the wiring diagrams.

Yes its a CPM2A and need to understand how Input and output work. Eg, is COM always negative? and how does sensor work work with this unit, ie do we supply  24v+ and -,  and then return wire back to input..just get confused and confused.

The COM point refers to a common point for the discrete input signal.
It can be either negative or positive in this Omron controller. Refer to the wiring diagrams in the manuals above.
