Guest Guest_Wayne Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 I have a question regarding ProTool Pro. We have a ProTool Pro/RT 128 tag license installed on the PC, with a configured project running. Now we want to make some changes to this project, but are unable to do so. Is it becasue we don't have the ProTool Pro/CS software and license? Pls. advise... Quote
RMA Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Yes, you need the ProTool Pro CS S/W to actually modify the program. Other than the normal licence you get when you buy any PC S/W, there is no further licensing required for CS. You don't have an authorisation diskette, for example. Quote
Crossbow Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 R/T is Run Time C/S is Configuration Software You can't modify a program without the C/S and a license. R/T licenses are designed for installation on the end system once the screens are completely designed. This prevents operators from being able to modify the code. Quote
