kaare_t Posted February 24, 2019 Report Posted February 24, 2019 It's a bit hard to recommend a communication solution without any more information. In addition, the post title indicates you want to communicate with inverters, while your post content indicates you want to communicate between CPU's. If you provide more information about your complete system it's easier to help you. For example it depends on which CPU's you are using. Are you using only one type, or different types? Old, new? Just Mitsubishi or other brands? Protocols are many, it all depends on which CPU's you are using, and if you want to integrate to/with other brands or equipment. Provide as much information as possible about your plant, and what you plan to use this communication for, and it will be easier to help you out.
Marksman Posted February 25, 2019 Author Report Posted February 25, 2019 Thanks for the respond. sorry about the error. I already edited the post. its to communicte to multiple vfd. we have a fx3uc plc and 5 mitsubishi e700 vfd. we want to send the set frequency from plc to vfd thru ethernet communication(if possible). we also have option of using analog 4-20mA output but we dont know if the distance of plc and vfd will have effect on the communication. the ethernet and analog module is not yet available.we will purchase after which communication is decided to use. Thanks again.
Wasan Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 @Marksman Maybe you should use RS-422/485 cable to communicate with VFD it already has instructions to read or write VFD parameter and can use with long distance. Please check this link below. http://dl.mitsubishielectric.com/dl/fa/document/manual/plc_fx/jy997d16901/jy997d16901p.pdf
Marksman Posted February 25, 2019 Author Report Posted February 25, 2019 Thanks @Wasan! I'll check the manual.
glavanov Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 (edited) Thumbs up for RS-485. IVMC is very useful function! Edited February 25, 2019 by glavanov
Gambit Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 CC-Link IE Field basic. Ethernet based network. Attached is the quick start fro the A800 and F800 but is should be similar for the FR-E700. But you will need the FR-E7NE ethernet board http://dl.mitsubishielectric.com/dl/fa/document/manual/inv/ib0600724/ib0600724engb.pdf CC-Link IE Field Basic Communications.pdf
