FX5 PLC FX5-CNV-IFC module.

Hi!!!

I'm currently getting started automation project based on the "FX5" Mitsubishi PLC.

I already installed "GX Works3" software and download necessary documentation.

Now, I try to configure PLC hardware in "GX Works 3" according to my requirements.

Everything was clear until setting the "FX5-CNV-IFC" module.

I can't find this module (FX5-CNV-IFC) in an "Element selection" catalog.

Maybe, it is need to install some additional hardware support package? But which exactly?

My question is how to added necessary hardware (in my case "FX5-CNV-IFC") in hardware catalog?

Hi,

This module is not an intelligent, it's just a converter of bus connectors from FX5UC CPU to FX5U series modules. So this is not neccessary to configure it.

It means that, I will have to install that module (according to FX5 hardware manual) in real PLC, but not configure in "GX Works3" software?

I was a bit surprised about that, because long time worked with Siemens PLC.

Ok, now it's clear. Project compilation has error free.
