NJH99 Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 Just as a matter of interest, I currently use Melsec GPP/WIN-E software but I am thinking upgrading to GX Developer. Is it worth it , what are the differences / benefits etc. Thanks, Nick Quote
panic mode Posted February 16, 2005 Report Posted February 16, 2005 if it covers plc range you use, i would say stay with it and don't upgrade... you can download GX Developer 8.xx from www.meau.com and try it out it will work for 15 days Quote
Guest Albert Fanakapan Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 I used Gpp win for a few years. The most obvious difference is that GX covers more of the later cpu's But Gpp-win had a few bugs The main one, which caused me to upgrade was programming through a HMI in transparent mode to an A series PLC. It lost communication a lot of the time and often took several attempts to send the changes to the plc while online programming. It was very frustrating. But if you dont do this, I think the benifits of spending all the extra money are negligable until you need to program the latest Q cpu's Quote
