What are programm settings in GXwork2

Hello all,

Recently i started to learn GX2Work2.
I wonder what the program settings will do?
I have some flavours to choose, like initial, scan etc.

Is there a manual where i can find how this works, or is here someone who can help me.

Hi xsienix,

as far as i know the program settings will work like this:

- Initial Programs will be executed once after startup
- Scan Programs are the default and will be cyclic executed
- Fixed Interval Programs are similar to Scan Programs, but use a fixed cycle time,
  that can be set in the Program Settings; Fixed Interval Program are only executed
  when Interrupts are enabled (with the 'EI' Instruction) from within
  another 'Scan' or 'Init' Program
- No Execution Type won't be executed
- Wait Programs: don't know,  never needed these ones

In the wait scan you van put sub programs or which can be called from other programs or interrupt programs.

Hi Gambit,

I'am aware of the E-learning documents @ Mitshubishi. Unfortunaly, i can't find documents, with explaining the 'program settings' do.
Perhaps i overlooked something?

I confess I don't use e-Manual much but PDF versions instead...  

In the link below, you will find the manual called "Fundamentals", in short. It contains explanations about the program types and how they work. Please take a look from page 54 of the PDF (2-13 of bottom corner page).
