Berto Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 Hi! I have a problem with a PSU module of a SIMATIC S5-115U. This PLC control a KBA rotative offset, a operator push a Stop botton ahd the PSU shutdown. I replace a damper diode and the PSU switch on but when mount this module in a machine with load, the PSU shutdown. With a new PSU works fine. Some sugestion for repair this fault? Are possible see the schematics? Regards!!! Quote
Step7 Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 Sounds like it's cooked, i've seen a few of these go south (main reasons are electrical guys replacing fuses/dc trip put back in repeatedly while a fault exists) They are repairiable but for the price of repair against the price of a replacement your better of taking the replacement route Quote
Guest Edxx Posted March 9, 2005 Report Posted March 9, 2005 Do you know which kind of sensor is used to detect the speed of fans in PSU for S5-135? Looks like diode but I dont know the type. Regards Ed Quote
Step7 Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 If it shuts down with only a load attached it sounds like a faulty component going down under temperature rather than a fan speed problem as that'd knock it out instantly rather than only when a load is applied. Quote
