bragon9555 Posted February 5, 2020 Report Posted February 5, 2020 Can anyone help me with the issue in the picture? We have the correct version in place yet it gives me a version error stating it needs the version that is installed. Doc1.docx
Joe E. Posted February 6, 2020 Report Posted February 6, 2020 It's pretty straightforward. With Studio 5000, you need to have the right version of the software installed to support the PLC. It looks like the PLC is at v30 but your PC doesn't have that version installed. You can go to the download center on Rockwell's website to get the right version (may or may not require a TechConnect agreement). You can have multiple versions of Studio 5000 installed at the same time, so you won't lose support for the versions you already have.
BobLfoot Posted February 10, 2020 Report Posted February 10, 2020 You might Open Studio 5000 and create a new project for a 1769-L36ERM {CompactLogix 5370 Controller} and give it a name like test or trial. After Clicking next you'll be asked to choose the revision of the PLC. I have 24,26,27,28,29,30 & 31 installed on my PC so I am presented with all of them as options. I'm guessing 30 won't be presented to you as an option.
