You still have the program right.
Than you can clear the PLC via

Online - PLC Memory Operation - CLear PLC memory
After this the PLC is again in factory settings

It won't ask you for the password when you clear the PLC. If you don't have the original program on your PC than we cannot help you.

I found a solution. You must stop the procedure halfway

  • Pun in SD card with new firware
  • Turn on PLC
  • Reset PLC
  • Wait until run and error stop blinking
  • Turn off PLC nad put out the SD Card

After that PLC uptade the firmware but don't dowland the BCK program from SD card.

Hii all,

If you have backup of the program, then you can follow the below steps to remove the password in Mitsubishi FX5U PLC

1. Open GX Works3

2. Change PLC to STOP mode

3. In the top navigation tabs, Click Online -> CPU Memory Operation...

4. Then CPU Memory Operation Pop up will open

5. There you can find Initialization(F) button below, Click that

6. Another Pop up will open, Click YES in that

7. Now RESET your PLC, and then keep in RUN mode after few seconds

Your FX5U PLC will be ready as brand new PLC without any password and program in it. After that you can download whatever program you want

NOTE: Try this only if you have the program backup file with you
