communication with VersaMax ic200cpue05

Hi,

This is the first time i am working on a GE VersaMax. 

 

I have a brand new PLC VersaMax ic200cpue05. It is a replacement for the old one which got physically damaged. I have the program (project) and just need to download it on the PLC. The problem is communication.

1. I set my laptop with IP address 192.168.0.10
2. Hooked laptop to PLC using a straight patch lead
3. Opened the proficy machine addition
4. opened my project 
5. Utilities --> Set temporary IP address
6. Took the mac address from the PLC
7. Assign IP address 192.168.0.1 to the plc
8. selected my network card (laptop)
9. press 'set IP'

After some time an error window shows up stating that the request timed out

What i am missing? should i set something else before attempting to set the IP address

I'm pretty sure that utility only works with PAC systems CPUs like the Rx3i. I don't believe it works with VersaMax CPUs.
