basicbill Posted March 18, 2005 Report Posted March 18, 2005 Hi, I am trying to determine if it is possible to use a USB port for communication to a 90-30 or 90 micro. I have googled and search gefanuc.com but there doesn't seem to be anything on this at all. My laptop (Dell Inspiron 9100) doen't have any ports that will utilize the RS232/RS422 connection setup. Has anyone found a USB alternative? Does one exist? Thanks, Bill W. Quote
Steve Bailey Posted March 19, 2005 Report Posted March 19, 2005 These two units have been "blessed" by GE Fanuc product support: HE500USB600A from Horner Electric http://www.heapg.com It has been tested with Logicmaster, VersaPro and CME. Belkin model F5U103. It works with VersaPro and CME, but not with Logicmaster. Quote

Guest RussB Posted March 21, 2005 Report Posted March 21, 2005 Another one that I know works is the Hawking HUC232S form www.CDW.com HE500USB600A does not work with QuickDesigner software. Quote
