Sergei Troizky Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 (edited) Two projects. The same PC. Both projects created and edited on this PC, using the same version of Sysmac Studio. Able to attach element comments in one project and unable to attach to any element in another (the option is greyed out in the right-click menu). Element comments are enabled in the Sysmac Studio Option menu in both cases. Any ideas? Edited October 2, 2021 by Sergei Troizky
Sergei Troizky Posted October 4, 2021 Author Report Posted October 4, 2021 (edited) As I said earlier, there is no difference in the PLC model (NX102 v1.41), Sysmac Studio version (also v1.41) and both projects are on the same PC. One project allows creating element comments, while another does not. Edited October 4, 2021 by Sergei Troizky

One project allows creating element comments, while another does not. You never mentioned PLC or version. The only reason I know that they would not show is the one brought up by IO_Rack, are you certain both projects have the correct firmware version selected? Firmware is always backward compatible, so maybe 1.41 wasn't selected in one project.
Sergei Troizky Posted October 6, 2021 Author Report Posted October 6, 2021 Can you clarify, please, firmware version of what and where in the project?
IO_Rack Posted October 6, 2021 Report Posted October 6, 2021 Right click on the PLC and choose Change Device.
Sergei Troizky Posted October 6, 2021 Author Report Posted October 6, 2021 Thanks, this helped. It was set to 1.30 in the project. Another one is set 1.31.
Crossbow Posted October 7, 2021 Report Posted October 7, 2021 The PLCs are always backward compatible, but to get all the latest features, this should be set to match the version listed on the side of the PLC.
