Benco Posted February 28, 2022 Report Posted February 28, 2022 Hi, Not sure if it's the best forum to ask this question, but: We are about to add UV banks to our filtration system, what is the correct name for an UV transmittance analyzer? For example, for flowmeters, it is FT-X or FIT-X, but what is the name for the UV transmittance analyzer? Regards, Quote
DanW Posted April 8, 2022 Report Posted April 8, 2022 The tags are usually based on ISA standards. You can see the tables for ISA codes here: https://instrumentationtools.com/isa-codes-symbols-for-process-instrumentation/ UV transmittance is not widespread enough to warrant its own category like temperature (T) or pressure (P). It might be considered an Analysis (A). There is provision for using a key table for defining exceptions. Why not UVTT or UVTA for UV Transmittance, Transmitter or Analyzer? If I read UV anything, I'd immediately associate it with Ultraviolet something. 1 Quote
