Hi,

Not sure if it's the best forum to ask this question, but:

We are about to add UV banks to our filtration system, what is the correct name for an UV transmittance analyzer?

For example, for flowmeters, it is FT-X or FIT-X, but what is the name for the UV transmittance analyzer?

The tags are usually based on ISA standards.  You can see the tables for ISA codes here:

https://instrumentationtools.com/isa-codes-symbols-for-process-instrumentation/

UV transmittance is not widespread enough to warrant its own category like temperature (T) or pressure (P).  It might be considered an Analysis (A).

There is provision for using a key table for defining exceptions.

Why not UVTT or UVTA for UV Transmittance, Transmitter or Analyzer?

If I read UV anything, I'd immediately associate it with Ultraviolet something.
