I'm working on a PLC at one of my sister facilities. I have an older version of CX-Programmer than needed to open the OEM file to help troubleshoot this line. I pulled the logic from the PLC with my version but there are no tags or comments in my pull and the prints are still being searched for. The OEM sent me the logic but I'm unable to open it. Can someone open the file for me and print it as a pdf and send back it to me? If you can help let me know I'll get you the file.

The project is from 2001 and I have CX-Progammer V1.2. Today is the first day I've used CX-Programmer and had no idea the version I had was so old.

Have you tried Omron's auto-update tool?  Omron doesn't nickel and dime you for support contracts in order to get updates like Rockwell does.

@pturmel thanks for the suggestion.

I got a link from Omron for the trial version of CX-One and am installing it now. I contacted my local Omron distributor yesterday about updating my software and am still waiting to hear back from them.

I was wondering about someone printing the project out for me to speed up troubleshooting the machine that's down. It went down last week and the onsite tech worked with the OEM over the phone and replaced an output module but that didn't help. I went over there yesterday but my lack of familiarity with the software is really slowing me down without the comments and address labels. Hopefully when this install is done I will be able to open the OEM file.

Did your old version not have the auto-update tool installed?  If it was there, you wouldn't need to get a trial version, just update directly.

CX Programmer 1.2 is from around 1999.  No update capability... Current CX-P is like 9.76 or something.
