doublewai Posted April 1, 2024 Report Posted April 1, 2024 Hi, I'm thinking about using commands for Melservo J5 controller via HMI without PLC. Have you guys done this kind of control configuration for Melservo? if anyone knows or familiar of this, please share our knowledge like communication methods, command methods (start, stop, alarm, and so on) Thanks, Quote
Mark- Posted April 1, 2024 Report Posted April 1, 2024 Do you have a communication protocol specification for the device? Quote
glavanov Posted April 2, 2024 Report Posted April 2, 2024 And the exact model of the servo drive is...? Quote
doublewai Posted April 8, 2024 Author Report Posted April 8, 2024 Mark, I do not have any preference for the protocol spec for the device. What kind of protocol options can I have for the J5 controller? Controller unit will be MR-J5-70A so far, and I'm looking for communication options for HMI without PLC connection Quote
Goghie Posted April 8, 2024 Report Posted April 8, 2024 With MR-J5-A, it is not possible, as it is PTO drive. You need MR-J5-G or MR-J5-G-RJ drives in order to have communication with HMI Quote

VeeB Posted April 9, 2024 Report Posted April 9, 2024 For the Mitsubishi Electric GOT HMI there is a complete sample available in de GT Designer3 software to connect the GOT2000 to the MR-J4-A (-RJ) The connection is running via the RS485. For example you can use the build in point table of the drive, change them via de GOT and run the set positions from the HMI. Sample projects can be found in the GTD3 software, Project > Utilize Data, select Sample Project, Search for J4 1 Quote
