GE iFIX 2 SCADA's on the same node

I have 2 virtual machines on the same domain network with iFIX (one for primary one for backup) and want to connect them on the same node. When connecting to the configuration hubs, it only accepts the host name of that computer and verifies the connection. When setting up a remote node in SCU, it prompts to enter a name and does not verify or check a connection and just says the remote node is added. Is there a way to connect them with one another so they can use the same configuration hub? Thank you.
