zhuchi Posted December 30, 2024 Report Posted December 30, 2024 Hello everyone. I have been consulting this forum for quite a while, but this is my first time posting. I use an Omron NX1P2 and a NA5-7W001B-V1. At the moment, the machine operator clicks on the hmi data edit button and the inserts a number. That number is then multiplied by 1sec and that value its used on a counter (and the variable type chances from INT to TIME). I have tried everything and searched till the end of Google and i still have no ideia how to insert decimal values on the hmi. Example: operator inserts 0.5 on the hmi and the counter will count to 0.5seconds. Can someone please help me? (sorry for the program comments, they are in Portuguese so someone else understands them) Thank you for you time. Cheers
chelton Posted December 30, 2024 Report Posted December 30, 2024 @zhuchi Change the datatype of In2 on the multime function to "Real" then map the variable as a "single" on the HMI. You will then be able to enter decimal numbers from the hmi -> the plc 2
zhuchi Posted December 31, 2024 Author Report Posted December 31, 2024 @chelton that worked perfectly. you were incredibly helpful, thank you!
