doublewai Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 Hi, I'm using Studio5000 standard version, and I'm planning to have function block and safety program for guardlogix. I was going to upgrade to Full version, but in the rockwell catalog, it seems like LITE version is enough for my applications. I understand the needs of Full version, but what's the pros and cons between STANDARD vs LITE? It looks like LITE version is more powerful than STANDARD version Quote

Here is a quick screenshot and the whole PDF. See if that helps. Studio 5000 Complete Ordering Guide.pdf Quote
Joe E. Posted January 28 Report Posted January 28 Is Lite the version that supports CompactLogix only? We're in the middle of commissioning a new system and the builder had only ever used CompactLogix but this one uses ControlLogix and they needed a higher license. 1 Quote

This wording is TRICKY here....I had to read it three times..... But I believe you are CORRECT. Lite and Mini support "all editions of compact logix" does not list controllogix. Pro, Full, Standard Networx and Standard support those controllers and CONTROLOGIX and GUARDLOGIX. Quote
