GX Works 2 C++ Runtime Error Upon Saving

In my factory we have four separate PCs with GX Works 2 Version 1.625B installed. One day in the past month we started getting this C++ runtime error every time we try to save a project except on one of the PCs. We've tried reinstalling GX Works 2 and reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. I suspect maybe a Windows update caused this issue. Has anyone ever seen this issue and found a fix?

Certainly sounds like something changed in Windows.  Check for recent Windows updates and try to uninstall them.  I am guessing that nothing else changed, like windows security settings or virus scanner install?

We found a solution.

First thing we tried was to update to the latest version of GX Works 2 but it did not solve this issue.

What worked was uninstalling GX Works 2 and reinstalling it. Even though it was the same version, this solved the issue.
