Hi

Does anyone have any experience with iQR series safety PLC using CCLink IE field safety to talk to Fanuc with IE safety slave function. I’m trying to make sure my device memory on PLC side is adequate for size of RX/RY, RWr/RWw that is needed for the Fanuc slave but can not find any documentation or examples anywhere. Really just looking for any kind of setup info for it as both Mitsubishi and Fanuc manuals are nearly non existent. Thanks

Hi,

I have no experience in this kind of configuration but this is what I found from manual.

Does the fanuc support CC-link ie field safety or just ie field ?

It does support both and I am getting ready to install the options on the robot, just waiting on Fanuc to approve the order.
Fanuc does say their max safety input/output size is 8 bytes in and 8 bytes out which is fine. But surely there are diagnostic bits/words that I will need to move into PLC but Fanuc manual does not lay that out. Mitsubishi side is clear on setting those up and using refresh parameters to move them where I want. I guess I will have to wait and test it once option is installed on robot.

If robot has both options, you should be fine. Safety I/O and general I/O on the Fanuc side should be assigned to dedicated CC-link racks. As long as your range is matching on Fanuc setup and PLC setup it will work just fine.
