Fircombehall Posted April 29 Report Posted April 29 Hi, I am trying to setup comms between a Mitsi CPU and Ethernet Card. To make it more complicated the Ethernet card side PLC is running IEC Developer and the CPU PLC is running GX Works 2. I've tried numerous different TCP / UDP connections within the network parameters but can't seem to get comms between the two. Any help appreciated. See attached photos.
Gambit Posted April 30 Report Posted April 30 If you change to an Q03UDVyou could than use simple CPU Comm whihc is really easy to set-up If not you still have some options. Fixed buffer comms - pre defined protocol SLMP - Dedicated intsructions Ethernet card Which one are yopu trying to set-up. Also if you have a GOT connected and comms don't need to be fast you can use the GOT to exchange the data
Fircombehall Posted May 12 Author Report Posted May 12 Thanks for your reply, am I right in thinking that In order to do simple CPU Comm you need to communicate directly between CPU’s and are unable to route through an Ethernet card such as a QJ71E71-100? Is that the reason you say change the CPU? Of the other examples which is easier to setup?
Crossbow Posted May 13 Report Posted May 13 You can communicate from a CPU to an E71 module. Simple comm is a specific function of the newer CPUs. As he mentioned, there are other methods that can be used from an E71 module to a CPU with embedded Ethernet.
