Mr.Awab Posted May 21 Report Posted May 21 Hi everyone, i have an omron plc cqm1h-cpu51 and i need to change it to newer plc i want to know what will happend to the program ? Do i need to write from the scratch or its ok to just copy and upload it ?
IO_Rack Posted May 21 Report Posted May 21 Most conversions are performed very well. This depends on the modules installed. Open the project and double click the PLC in the project tree. Change the Device Type to the new PLC, including Settings > CPU Type. The conversion will be performed automatically. There may be issues listed in the Output Window. Be sure to save Memory from the original PLC. Double click Memory from the project tree. Double click HR and DM. Then perform a Transfer from PLC. CX Programmer will prompt you to Save in Project.
Mr.Awab Posted May 22 Author Report Posted May 22 Thanks for the help am using cqm1h-cpu51 and i have to move on into new PLC series coz my CQM1-LSE01 card is broke and its disconnected , is there any plc card u can advice me to ?(the cpu 51 is functional well ). Thank u in advance
Crossbow Posted May 22 Report Posted May 22 I personally have never seen the LSE01 card, and do not know of a similar module in the newer PLCs. As an option, you could consider getting an LSE01 module aftermarket. I checked and Radwell has them new in the box. At some point, I would still recommend upgrading to a newer controller, but as I mentioned, I do not know of a similar card for a newer PLC.

I've been working with Omron products for over 35 years. I've never seen one either. This would take some re-engineering. Are you familiar with the application details?
