phucPLC Posted September 11 Report Posted September 11 In an old Step7 project I found that the hardware configuration declared a WAGO 750-375 Profibus coupler, but attached to it there was a Beckhoff KL2535 (PWM output) module. When I checked the real installation, the cabinet indeed had a KL2535 together with this coupler. However, as far as I know, KL2535 belongs to the Beckhoff Bus Terminal series (K-Bus), while the WAGO 750-375 is a coupler for the WAGO 750-series (E-Bus), which technically should not be compatible. Has anyone encountered this situation before? Is there any way in Step7 to add a Beckhoff KL2535 module when the project only has the WAGO 750-375 GSD file, which does not include KL2535 in its module list? Thanks ! :)
Hati Posted September 14 Report Posted September 14 If i remeber correctly, both IO is made by the same company, so you can configure as a Wago or a Beckhoff.
phucPLC Posted September 17 Author Report Posted September 17 Thank you for your reply. I think it is possible that the hardware is similar, but in order to actually use the KL2535 module it would have to be included in the module library of the WAGO 750-375 coupler before it can be configured in Step7. My assumption is that they probably modified the .GSD file to make this possible.
