Madmax Posted June 12, 2005 Report Posted June 12, 2005 Can somebody tell me if a FX1N-24MR PLC has an interal fuse somewhere?? Because I have no idea what I've done wrong, but the power led is out when I supply my PLC with 24V! It worked for months but now after I disconnected the supply wires for a sec, it won't start anymore.
Goody Posted June 13, 2005 Report Posted June 13, 2005 I think there is an internal fuse but they are tricky to open. (the fuse will be on the bottom rack of the printed circuit boards.) You will probably break the tabs trying to open it. But once inside, the PCB's are linked together and come apart and back together quite easily. The DC supplied PLC's MUST be connected with the right polarity
Madmax Posted June 13, 2005 Author Report Posted June 13, 2005 I've opened it, but there isn't a fuse, I only see smd components and a few capacitors etc,... but no fuse. That means bad news for me... Can I buy another supply circuitboard or do I have to buy a whole new PLC..?
panic mode Posted June 14, 2005 Report Posted June 14, 2005 i don't have FX to open it but fuses also come in SMT form. try looking for descriptions of the parts and silkscreen marks.
