Question: What kind of amperage will I see on the input to the drive, and what should I fuse the drive at? The drive itself is rated 88A FLA. Thanks Quote
Chris Elston Posted July 12, 2005 Report Posted July 12, 2005 One of the problems I have had with VFD is the massive amount of inrush. For example I did some Mistu FRU series not to long ago fractional HP, and they spec'd 15A on the primary but FLA was 2A. I'd advise that you seek the manual or ask ABB if there is any INRUSH current to consider to hold the current on power up. I was using a very high curve ABB breaker and it was doing everything it could to hang on during first power up. Quote
