KDunaikin Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Hello. Anybody can help me. I have termosensor type fe/co , can I use FX2N-4AD-TC for this sensor. I connect 4 sensor type fe/ko in FX2N-4AD-TC. 2ch sensor be correct, any sensor 1ch,3ch,4ch be not correct. What problem Ihave? can I use FX2N-4AD-TC for termosensor type fe/co. Quote
Crossbow Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 I have absolutely no idea what a fe/co sensor is. The 4AD-TC module supports type J and K thermocouples. If you're using a PT100 RTD, you need the 4AD-PT module. Is your thermocouple type J or K? The FX2N-8AD supports, voltage, current, or type J, K, or T thermocouples. Quote
tju123 Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 Fe/Co thermocouple is same as type-J thermocouple, so that means yes you can use FX2N-4AD-TC for this sensor. I can only think a couple (early saturday morning) reasons why the temp readings are incorrect: 1. Settings for the FX2N-4AD-TC module 2. Wirings (for the thermocouples) and of course possibility of sensor failure?? I just did this same thing (FX2N-4AD-TC + J-type) a couple weeks ago and had no problems. Quote
DanW Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 The current English manual tells you what the problem might be. The manual states that this card, the FX2N-4AD-TC, may not be used with grounded thermocouples (lower right, page 1). Single ended, multiplexed input cards typically have poor common mode rejection. I suspect that the ground loops that can easily occur with grounded thermocouples could be causing the bad readings that you're seeing. Dan Quote
