I'm putting together an update program for a laser marker part handler. It indexes around to present a freshly loaded part to the laser beam. It will look at diferent input combinations and output a fault code. Any body done this befor?? the key is to flash a certain amout then pause then flash another amount. I can figure it out BUT if anybody has already done this I will be verry gratefull for a head start. thanks David.

We have done that for years. It is easy to do and cheap. Over time, counting the flashing lite can become very annoying. We migrated to a counter, we would have the PLC increment the counter, and hence display the fault code. As of late, we only use HMI's. Either new small models costing 250$. Or better more functional models from E-Bay.
