sandervc Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 Hi, I'm (still) looking for a nice freeware app that can create a virtual serial port an serve this on a IP-port. (like ezVSP) I allready looked at HW VSP, but I can't get it to act as a server. Grtz, Sander Quote
funfrok Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 (edited) We use virtual serial port driver from Tibbo to connect Mitsubishi Fx2n Plc s without problems. http://www.tibbo.com/tdst_vspman.php Greetings Funfrok Edited February 4, 2006 by funfrok Quote
Chris Elston Posted February 4, 2006 Report Posted February 4, 2006 Allen Bradley has one for the ENI module. I don't know if you can use it else where: http://www.ab.com/plclogic/micrologix/downloads/comredir.zip Quote
TimWilborne Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 I have communicated from a PLC to a Mitsubishi FX@N using the 1761-NET-ENI but have never been able to get it to communicate from a PC. It is probably because my software is old and serial communications is the only option I have for connecting to the PLC. I have never looked into the newer software. Does it give you the option of connecting over Ethernet. If it does I could probably make it work I have also used it to connect to serveral CNC machines that accept Raw ASCII. Quote
Camel Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 We like to use Digi's. They work great and are easy to configure. http://www.digi.com/products/externaldevic.../digioneiap.jsp Quote
waynes Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Hi, I know that Moxa has some software that will emulate a serial port locally on the pc. You need the hardware that goes with it though! What do you want to accomplish? Quote
