bobco Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 How can I write Koyo PLC program directly in mnemonic format? I have a PLC program in mnemonic format and I would like to introduce in a new PLC. I tought to type it into editor (mnemonic view) and to view after in ladder view. Is it possible to do it? How? Thanks in advance. Quote
SAckerman Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Not sure what your are looking for --- Is this it? have your program up on the screen Select softkey "View" Select type "Ladder View" or "Mnemonic View" Switch back and forth any time to program Good Luck! GerryM Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 No, you cannot program in mnemonic and then switch to ladder to view it. The mnemonic is just a view only. You need to program in ladder. Quote
rlp122 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Actually you can program in mnemonics, you just have to do it in a text editor then import it into DirectSoft. Unfortunately you don't get error checking until you go to import though. Personally I can't think of a single reason to torture myself by programming in mnemonics... Belch! Quote
