Héctor Tovar Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 I have a PROFIBUS network with ten s7-200 configurated as slaves and one s7-300 configured as master. I need to know if i can download the program for each slave throught the PROFIBUS network from the s7-300 master?
Crossbow Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 You should be able to access any PLC on the profibus network if you set the device drivers to talk to the PLC via Profibus.
Guest jrw Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 I typically integrate the S7200's into my Step 7 project. Sometimes I will just have a S7200 project in Step7 because I can have my OP there and archive it. I like to do this cause MicroWin will launch from Step7 and I can program though profibus- Just a tip Jay
khekd Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 Hector, You CANNOT access the S7-200 through the EM277 profibus slave module. The K bus does not go across the backplane of the S7-200. If all your PLCs where S7-300 on profibus then I would say yes. Next time, think about going ethernet with all of them because they can peer to peer via ethernet and also allows you to remotely program them all. 200s and 300s.
