Chris Elston Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 I am trying to drag and drop "any activeX" control from my Toolchest in CME 5.0 SP3, but everytime I try any of them I get a circle with a slash icon when I try and drop it in any graphical panel. I've never used ActiveX in CME before, and wondered what I am doing wrong? I have a Quick Panel Control HMI 12.5". Quote
Guest Guest Posted November 1, 2005 Report Posted November 1, 2005 Do you have a Windows CE target? You are doing nothing wrong. ActiveX is not supported in this version of CE. Quote
Chris Elston Posted November 2, 2005 Author Report Posted November 2, 2005 Ah...that's the problem then. I thought the new Windows CE supported ActiveX, I guess not. Is there any version of Windows CE that supports activeX? Quote
RussB Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 Probably never well fully (everything registerd in XP), as even CE.NET does not have all of the APIs. You will need ActiveX written for CE.NET and supported by the Vendor's embed. I do not know when or what GE Fanuc plans for this. Quote
Chris Elston Posted November 2, 2005 Author Report Posted November 2, 2005 Man, that just stinks. I was hoping to drag and drop the DTV activeX component into my new CME Quick Panel Control interface... I've had a heck of a month. I upgraded my software from VersaPro to CME and used the new Quick Panel Control HMI and I still can't use activeX! Blah.... I wasn't planning on it, but I thought I would just try and push the limits... I did already hit some limits, mainly MEMORY limits. But nothing an $80 64MB stick couldn't solve Quote
RussB Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 What is the DTV component? Could there be a work around? Quote
