Guest Ted Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 Hello, Does anyone know how to set up GX Developer v7.01 so that when it is open it keeps your settings. For example I am use to using medoc style hot keys, but everytime I reopen GX developer it reverts back to GPPQ style, and remove unwanted toolbars from the screen they also reappear next time I start up. This is of course no big deal, but is a nuisance. Thanks in advance Quote
panic mode Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 i use at the moment 7.11M but i used to work with older versions too and never had such problem... (i prefer MEDOC layout too and I have customized my toolbars). toolbar settings seam to be saved in both GPPW.INI and registry, not sure about keyboard layout, could be registry only.... are you logging in admin or user? Guest Ted Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 I believe I have administrative rights on GX developer software (although not positive) Most software is only usable when I'm on the network, but I can use this offline. Quote
waynes Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Hi Ted, I have had this before, but it seems to have gone away when I saved my project. I do recall using this version before, but I have not experienced the problems you are having. Are all of you files in you C:\MELSEC\Gppw\ directory -r(Ie. read only removed)? Quote
Guest Ted Posted November 4, 2005 Report Posted November 4, 2005 Yes my files are saved under C:\MELSEC\Gppw\ directory. I went in and checked all my files did have read only checked. I thought this was strange since when I've seen this before I wasn't able to open the program. I've had no trouble in the past with opening or saving these files. Anyway I unchecked the read only in all files, but it did not change the situation. Quote
