TimWilborne Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 IT department report to someone. I thought they are the Gods of the information world. Or atleast they think they are Quote
Guest HalBishop Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 The merely "Summon the great power of certification" and report to themselves. Quote
gravitar Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Well the place I presently work has only perhaps 500-600 employees, but I do believe the head IT guy is a VP.. He reports directly to the owner/president of the company. IT usually has a direct line to the highest levels of any organization. There's probably a good reason for this.. IT has access to **ALL** of a company's secrets. If they get pissed off, they could pretty easily bring a company to its knees. Quote
TimWilborne Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 And the guy programming the machines can't? Quote
GerryM Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Secrets? or do you mean they keep track of the MONEY!!!! If the machines would just keep track of all their own finances, then maybe my boss would report directly to the president. Quote
