Hello All I'm running a Q02H with ethernet (QJ71E71-100) connected to E-View SCADA software and also to an E1000 E-Terminal. Both of these devices use MC Protocol and are therefore compatible on the same network. I want to add a third device to this network (Veeder Root tank gauging system) however it doesn't use MC Protocol so I'll have to use the random access buffer method. Is it possible to run MC Protocol and random access buffer from the one ethernet card? cheers John

Hi John Crombie, The ethernet module mentioned does allow you to setup up to 16 channels (ports). You should be able to set, lets say channel 1& 2, to 'MELSOFT connection'. The others you should be able to adjust to 'Active', 'Unpassive' or what you require. Your code must only be adopted not to try and manage the Melsoft ports. Hope this helps
