A big thank you to all veterans. Whether you agree or disagree with the political decisions that place our military in conflict, we all owe a debt of gratitude to everyone who has ever put on the uniform and agreed to put his or her life on the line to defend our way of life. They do a difficult job, at times under unspeakable conditions, and they do that job with distinction. My hat's off to you all. Thank you.

I know. Hal starts a very nice post to thank the veterans of all wars and some guest who is probably a member but didn't have the guts to post under his name goes and tries to turn it political. Whether you are for or against any political policies you should be thankful for what our veterans have done for us.

certainly it's a nice gesture to thank our veterans ... but the important thing to remember is that they did not - and do not - serve in order to earn our thanks ... and more importantly, they would not - and will not - be deterred by the type of sentiments which I suspect are reflected in the "follow this link" above ... no, I personally didn't "follow the link" ... sorry if I missed anything worthwhile ...

Hi Folks.....Well I did "Follow this link" and Ron, my friend ,you didn't miss a thing. Just drivel from someone who has never put on a uniform to serve his great country {with all it's good and bad that we have the right to praise or complain about because of those who have served} Thank God for the vetrens and those fighting now. Although I have never served in the military, I take my hat off to all the men and women that help perseve our freedom. And when I see that kind of garbage, it makes my plan make that much more since. PLAN: Invite all of those people that think like that to a private island, then just leave them all there. Problem solved! They have their own island and if they don't make it's because of their own ignorance.

The irony is the U.S. armed forces serve so that people like our "topic crasher" can exist. If you couldn't denounce the military, you'd be in a dictatorship..
