Sergei Troizky Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 The FX1S features the same connector and mounting place as FX1N, but I have not found any document about possibility to install the FX1N-BAT battery on FX1S. Does anybody know about such document? Or did anybody succesfully use such combination? Quote
panic mode Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 if i remember correctly FX1S doesn't need battery at all. it has flash... Quote
tmu Posted December 14, 2005 Report Posted December 14, 2005 btw. What is FX1N-BAT?? => FX1N & FX1S: internal backup capasitor, 10 days, 30 minutes recharge time. I think memory is EEPROM (10000writes). According to manual some data is saved only when CPU powered more than 5 minutes (FX1S). Real time clock is backed up by that capasitor. Tmu Quote
Crossbow Posted December 15, 2005 Report Posted December 15, 2005 The FX1N-BAT is a module that plugs into the memory card area and extends the internal capacitor backup to something like 200 days. The program is stored on EEPROM, so it never gets lost. But this extends the memory backup for the RAM section of the PLC memory. Quote
