jeenwouda Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 At the moment we are busy with a research concerning the differences between several brands and families PLC's. It concerns the standard connections on the PLC's, expandable connections and the protocols supported by PLC. By searching on the sites of the manufacturer can already considerably much information be found but is not yet sufficient. Our question is: Are there Internet sites or documents with several PLC brands and families compared with each other. Thanks, Jeen Wouda Quote
TimWilborne Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 None that I know of. But you may look at www.odva.org It talks about how you can use Devicenet and Ethernet/IP to talk between them Quote
gravitar Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 It isn't all laid out for you in a "white paper" format, but I would say that MrPLC is one of the best places for you to find candid opinions and reviews of just about every PLC brand out there. One thing to keep in mind (you probably already considered this) is there is no one single correct answer for every application, every industry, or every region of the world. Quote
