308guru Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 Is it possible to hook a cable up to the front of my FX1N (with RS232-BD) and monitor communcations through hyperterminal? If so, could somebody tell me the hyperteminal settings to use and whether or not it's a straight through cable or something weird? Thanks! Quote
Chris Elston Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 Screw hyperterminal! Download this: http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?autocom=downloads&showfile=532 It's very flexible and will tell you all the hidden characters that are being transmitted. Best tool for RS-232 I have ever used. Quote

calvin Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 It's possible to use a second COM port for communications spy, I did that with VisualBasic, but is much easier with a software like this http://www.aggsoft.com/serial-port-monitor/ Quote
