Hello, Please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but how do I see what manuals can be downloaded from www.meau.com? If I go to the main page and click on "Downloads" (top right) I get redirected to http://wwwf2.mitsubishielectric.co.jp/english/ I know from the links kindly posted here that good quality pdfs are available for public download so what can I be doing wrong? TIA Ian.

Try this link, not sure exactly how it works, but it seems that it makes your ISP invisible. http://securebar.secure-tunnel.com/cgi-bin.../main/Home/home The full address is shown below in double brackets ((http://securebar.secure-tunnel.com/cgi-bin/nph-freebar.cgi/110110A/http/www.meau.com/eprise/main/Home/home)) Edited by Colin Carpenter

that's right, on www.meau.com you will find much more, including cad drawings etc. this is why so many guys are trying to get there. there is a problem however. oversea visitors usually get redirected to japaneese website. to avoid that, one can use proxy server like posted by Colin. this way mitsubishi will not know where are you from, it will think you are in north america and you will not be forwarded to japanese site. in other words you get the access.

Aha! now I think I understand. But what a shame the other Mitsi sites don't have such a good download section - it really is awesome now I can get to it. Thanks for all your help Best regards Ian.

For obvious reasons (traffic and server load) the www.meau.com site tries to redirect international hits to their own local versions of Mitsubishi's website. I agree the US site has much to offer, but the bandwidth used by foreign users to sponge all of the manuals causes our US customers to have trouble downloading. MEAU does offer a DVD of all the manuals and CAD drawings on the website. It's called the MELDOC DVD. It can be purchased from any US distributor, I believe for around $100. The latest version, as of April 2006, and it's now a dual-layer DVD with over 5.3 gig of info on it. If you do get into www.meau.com by any means, you do not need a login and password. Just go to the Downloads section. Usernames and passwords are for employees and distributors only.
