ssommers Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 I'm updating & creating drawings of the e-stop circuits in my plant (first time they've had a real EE in years) and was wondering if there's a symbol for an e-stop cable. We use at least 2 of them per line and I'd like to draw it correctly. I have Autocad2006, but they didn't spring for the electrical package. TIA! Quote
GerryM Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 I couldn't find anything specific in the IEEE 315. If you can't find anything then a Limit Switch symbol would probably be fine, since that's what it really is anyway. Quote
dogleg43 Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 We used the symbol for a limit switch with a small round ball at one end of a stem (straight line) that emerged from the center of the limit switch symbol. This symbol was always accepted in the auto industry. Quote
ssommers Posted May 26, 2006 Author Report Posted May 26, 2006 That's it - NC limit switch with the little ball on top. I just needed a mind jog... Thanks! Quote
