Skidog Posted September 3, 2003 Report Posted September 3, 2003 We have recently experienced a large number of power block failures in our AD controllers. We only turned the power off and back on for maintenance activities and BOOM!, 8 thousand bucks down the tubes. I'm wondering if anyone else has or is experiencing this same problem. If you are we may need to work together to find a solution and push Kawasaki into some kind of action. I'm looking the board over now without a set of prints, so far nothing. I have been performing component level repair for over 20 years now,but without the right equipment like a Huntron Tracker or an o'scope it's not easy. We do have an analog Simpson, so thats a start. I suspect the diode/scr blocks. They have failed at power up in a few other systems I have worked on, and it turned out to be a bad batch! All I have now are a bunch of theories but ya gotta start someplace!! :-p Quote
Guest Mark G Posted January 15, 2004 Report Posted January 15, 2004 We support the AD controller and 95% of these power block errors are the 1DT piggy back boards. They are interchangeable across all axis and i normally start troubleshooting by swopping two and see if the error moves with the change. Another thing to bear in mind is if the wheels on the bottom of the AD controller are moved. The cooling vents are blocked and you will experience many problems. Quote
