LJ Zhang Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Hi All, Anyone knows, Is it possible to connect RS422 port of MR-J2S-20A servo drive to link to HMI / Personal Computer to send and received command? Thanks
Crossbow Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 The Mitsubishi E-terminals have drivers for communicating with the Mitsubishi servos J2S-CP and J2S-CL. I know the GOT1000 units from Mitsu also have drivers for Mitsubishi servos, but that's for the J2S-CL and J2M series, not J2S-A. I don't think either of them is designed to talk to the J2S-A. But there is a configuration software package and programming cable for them. Software is called MR-Configurator, and cable is MR-CPCATCBL3m.
FNMdeJong Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 Yes you can communicate with the MR-J2S-A amplifier type serial ovre RS422. The communication protocoll is exactly the same as for the MR-J2S-CL drive. So when using the e-terminals with the driver functionality you can get communication. Be aware of the fact that the driver is designed for MR-J2S-CL, so you cannot use all kinds of commands. (i.e. program selection cannot be used in a MR-J2S-A drive) Inside the GOT 1000 series you can communicate with the motion CPU (MR-J2S-B), MR-J2S-A, MR-J2S-CL, MR-J3, MR-J2M-P8A and MR-J2M*DU directly. The configuration package is stand alone, intent to use only for monitoring and configuration. Download the communication manual of the drives from the mitsubishi site, and with that you can write youre own driver for a PC like SCADA.
Crossbow Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 My bad... the GOT1000 does in fact support the J2S-A. I must have read an older manual, or I was looking at the servo monitor screens.
