Not something to attach to a resume, that's for sure. It's as impressive as the one that looks like it came from survivor TV series: http://forums.mrplc.com/index.php?act=modu...=si&img=137

Yes I am guilty. THIS thread explains Alaric's Gas Can Panel and I also confess to one of my nice cardboard panels in it But Bob, I don't chew gum. Electrical Tape and Baling Wire is what I use. You would be amazed what a roll of electrical tape can hold up and we buy baling wire by the tractor trailer load. It can be used for anything.

I find that aluminum foil tape is a good choice for use in an electrical panel. (note to idiots: This is a sarcastic comment. Don't use foil tape anywhere near electricity!)

Hey now! Foil tape actually works quite well as a temporary shield from radiated noise. It's a good way to show when shielded cable should have been used (or wires need to be rerouted). After all, that is what makes up the shield in a shielded cable anyway. Not recommending it be left in permanently, but as a temporary troubleshooting tool, it is not only for idiots...

Its sad to say but there are machines in my factory that loook worse than that. The guy that was here before me didn't really care alot about how it looked or how it worked for that matter.

The guys over in our plant in France used to call my predecessor "la especialist du spaghetti" (only guessing on the French spelling here, but you get the idea.) Fortunately most of that has been replaced now.
