ecerotti Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 (edited) How can I totalize m3/h of gas flow continously by GE LM-90 logicmaster program. 4-20 ma analog signal comes from transmitter. 4-20 ma Transmitter flow signal opt. has continously totalized and sum of m3/h will display on HMI as decimal. What sampling rate should be best. Edited September 17, 2006 by ecerotti Quote
Tank_Harvey Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 m3/h is Meter Cubed per hour I understand? Some more information on the meter is needed. I am in the Material Handling area. For example our weighto-meters (belt weighers) give two separate outputs TPH (Tonnes per Hour) which is a 4-20mA signal and a separate single which is a tonnes pulse which can be accumulated by our control system. A "Quantity Per time" calculation is an integral based calculation that says to it self, "If I am measuring this volume for this instant of time then I can multiply it by X to get an average for an hour" (much summarised description). The problem with these calculations is you don't know over what time base that actual calculation is being performed. Quote
