presario2100 Posted September 21, 2006 Report Posted September 21, 2006 I'm using a S7-400 PLC with a counter card (6ES7450-1AP00-0AE0) on the slot. This card is use for length counting, impulse signal from an encoder mouting behind a turning roller. That day the counter card was faulty, INTF & EXTF red led was lit, PLC cannot RUN. After I put in a new counter card, the fault can be reset and PLC can RUN. But when the roller turning, I cannot received the impulse signal from encoder, replace with another good encoder still the same problem. So, is it we need to make any reconfiguration to the new counter card ? and I don't have any programming tools to do online checking. Hope any expert can give some help. many thanks. Quote
naing Posted September 28, 2006 Report Posted September 28, 2006 Hi presario2100! You didn't show the card's code and version (6ES7450-xxxxx-xxxx). Is it exactly the same as the old one? If it is not, you need to reconfigure the program on-line. Please try to purchase the tools. WBW, Naing Quote
