sid Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 I am using MR-E Servo with ballscrew for linear movement of my job. Servo is having 10000ppr incremental encoder, now the problem is that when power is lost my machine position gets lost. How to keep track of machine position without loss of any accuracy?
Crossbow Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 What are you using as the controller? Can you perhaps track the servo position in the controller in a battery backed memory area so it's still there when power returns?
sid Posted October 3, 2006 Author Report Posted October 3, 2006 I am using FX1N PLC with Y0 as pulse output and y1 as direction output. Where and how to use A/B phase sequence for servo amplifier ?
Crossbow Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Encoder pulses come back to the high speed inputs on the PLC, which will count pulses to current position. This number can be stored to retentive D registers and moved back into the PLC's position buffer at power-up. Download the FX1N Programming Manual (JY992D88101-D) from the downloads section here or at www.meau.com and there are examples in the chapter on position control.
sid Posted October 6, 2006 Author Report Posted October 6, 2006 Thanks Crossbow. Can you tell me where to find the manual of MR-E Servo. Whenever i goto www.meau.com and click on downloads and then on manuals i am redirected to http://wwwf2.mitsubishielectric.co.jp/english/.
Crossbow Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 The US website does redirect non-North American traffic to the nearest appropriate Mitsubishi website due to server loading. File is attached. SH_NA_030031_B.pdf
