PdL Posted October 15, 2006 Report Posted October 15, 2006 Attached find connection guide for MT500 & S7-200. Find more info on the MT506L at the Weintek site (the Taiwanese manufacturer of Easyview), especially browse the FTP server: ftp://ftp.weintek.com/ A good tip which I got from our Automationdirect contact; for the Easybuilder software use the manual for KEP MMI series. In fact KEP are brandlabeled Easyview screens but their manual is 1000 times better!. Good luck! Siemens_S7_200.pdf Quote

PdL Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 You don't have to configure anything in the PLC. 1.Are you 100% sure the cable is ok ? 2. Have you setup the correct Driver in Easybuilder at Edit > System parameters ? See attached picture. Important is that the station adress is the same as what is configured. Verify with Microwin what the number is. Default is 2. 3. How do you conclude there is no communication ? Does the screen give a fault ? 4.Are you using the correct adressing format as described at device adress in the pdf ? (Post a screencopy of how you configure the object in Easybuilder.) 5. Are you running the latest version 2.7.1 ? Quote
UFUK Posted October 20, 2006 Author Report Posted October 20, 2006 (edited) cable is ok im using last version of easy builder.. but it doesnt work.. i send you pictures of my confurigation thanks for help Edited October 20, 2006 by UFUK Quote
PdL Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 Hi Ufuk, At first sight, if I compare the adressing instructions in the pdf and your config, I notice you don't use a bit divider, M area can only be adressed bit wise. Have you tried 0.1 ? (instead of 00.1) Also I am not sure what the parameter 2 means... By the way, you didn't tell me how you are noticed the comms are not working... Does Easyview give an error ? I am at home now and If I get my laptop out of the bag my gf is going to kill me! I will have a look tomorrow morning. Quote
UFUK Posted October 20, 2006 Author Report Posted October 20, 2006 it doesnt work.. and it driving me crazy !!! i tried 00.1 0.1 00001 001 01 1 but it doesnt work.. hmi desnt give an eror message but also if i take off comm cable it doesnt give error message.. so i cant understand what is problem... have i must to use any special instructions in plc ? thanks for all... i will wait your answer :) Quote
