cmoore73 Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 Does anyone know how to clear all of the memory in a Quickpanel View HMI? I upgraded to Proficy 5.5 sim 8 and made a change to the touchscreen program. Now the HMI is acting goofy. I think that some of the files that were not needed (left over) from the proficy upgrade are causing some problems. I talked to an engineer at GE Fanuc a long time ago and he told me how to clear all of the memory (what files to delete), but I can't seem to find anyone now that knows how to do it. Quote
RussB Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 Yes,1. Goto the 'Desktop' 2. Double-click My computer and navigate to a directory called 'Flash Storage' 3. now Delete the directory called 'fxViewRuntime' Quote
cmoore73 Posted October 17, 2006 Author Report Posted October 17, 2006 (edited) I thought there was something else like the windows folder that had to be deleted and if I remember right, not all of the files should be deleted. Edited October 17, 2006 by cmoore73 Quote
rammin48 Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 Also, be aware if you have run backup you will need to do that again after you loaded the new application. I had a problem where it was clearing my loaded fonts everytime I rebooted the device. These files are obviously not in the FxView Runtime directory. Quote
